Happy New Year!

www.TMNT25.com has launched! Check it out early and often for all of the latest news and info about the ongoing 25th anniversary events taking place throughout the year!

One of the things that we'll be doing to help celebrate this momentous occasion is joining forces with Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc. and the world's greatest comic shops to celebrate Free Comic Book Day! Mirage will be reprinting the first issue of TMNT by creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in glorious grayscale. This super-special comic will be one of many books that you'll be able to grab sans a payment when Free Comic Book Day takes place on May 2. Hit the FCBD site linked above for more details about the awesome event. This is just one of the ways that we want to say "thank you very much" to all of you that have been supporting our efforts over the past two and a half decades. You guys rock!

Josiah wrote in to let us know that you can now purchase issues of "Tales of the TMNT" via the iTunes store - issues #1-6 are already available for 99 cents each - search "tales tmnt" inside the store and check 'em out, podmasters!

Diamond Comics Distributors has sent out word to all of the comic book retailers that the price info for "Tales of the TMNT" #55 was incorrect, so your local comic shop is aware of the problem and orders will proceed as normal for the book at its regular $3.25 price. Special thanks to our rep, Jim, for going above and beyond the call of duty to get the word out!

Unfortunately Diamond Comic Distributors made a clerical error in their December 2008 Previews listing for "Tales of the TMNT" #55 (shipping in February). The issue is a regular 32-page comic for $3.25, it is not a 5" X 7", 200-page book for $10.99. At the moment I don't know what the plan will be regarding pre-orders - once I hear back from our DCD rep, I'll give ya the scoop.

On the good news front, "Tales" #53 and "Michelangelo: The Third Kind" #4 are at the printer and will be in comic shops before Christmas barring any unforeseen calamity.

An early heads up that Peter Laird, Michael Dooney, Jim Lawson, Eric Talbot and Steve Murphy will be attending the New York Comic Con and there will be a Mirage panel on Friday evening. More details will come as everything is ironed out.

Posted the preview for "Tales of the TMNT" #52

Over the past few weeks I've been posting lots of new pix on the Old Toy Archives pages thanks to the tenacity and generosity of Vaughn Michael, who has sent in literally dozens (if not scores) of photos of his action figure collection. Of particular note are years 1994 and 1996, which feature many items that have never been pictured on the site before. GigantorMegaThanx to Vaughn!

On tomorrow's episode of "TMNT: Back to the Sewer," the Cyber Shredder creates a web portal that he hopes will allow him to venture from cyberspace into the real world. The villain first tests the device by releasing all sorts of mutants and monsters from various online programs. The Turtles must take down the creatures before they tear the city apart… and shut down the web portal before Cyber Shredder is able to use it and enter into the real world!
